Our MISSION is to partner with adults with special needs so they may grow in Christ and fellowship with others through existing ministries of the church.
Our VISION is for persons of all abilities to meet Jesus, be discipled, and participate fully in Christ's body.
What We Do
We are excited to offer a community group for adults (18+) with special needs on Sundays at 9:00 am. Our ministry provides a Christ-centered, supportive, and sensory-friendly atmosphere. Each individual is paired up with a ‘buddy’ who will meet them right where they are in their learning and engagement. Our buddies have completed a disability training course, are background-checked, and are members of LWRBC.
What We Teach
We follow a curriculum specifically designed to connect with individuals having various disabilities. The “Awe and Wonder” curriculum is highly adaptable including multiple learning levels for each bible lesson.
Next Steps
Since every family’s situation is unique, we encourage you to contact us in advance so that we can best meet the needs for each student. We also invite you to visit on a quiet weekday so that Sunday morning can be smoother for your student. When you arrive on a Sunday, we have buddies that can meet your family in the lobby and walk with you to our classroom on the third floor.
