And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. Going
The primary way we pursue the Great Commission is by partnering with the International Mission Board (imb.org). The IMB has approximately 3700 missionaries serving around the world.
Our short-term mission trips focus on assisting the church planting efforts of IMB missionaries. In 2019 and 2022, our church sent a team to partner with missionaries in Sao Paulo, Brazil. We strive to take church-wide mission trips every year.
We also make a priority of bringing missionaries to our church. Pastor Rick regularly interviews missionaries on Sunday mornings so that we can pray more specifically and understand the challenges and joys of cross-cultural work.
Giving
There are two primary ways we give sacrificially to cross-cultural missions.
Each December we have a church-wide missions banquet where we raise money for IMB missionaries.
We also contribute toward missions as a part of our general budget, so a portion of every dollar given to the church goes toward overseas work.
